Which Qashqai you have

  • J10 (2007–2013) — the original, including the seven-seat Qashqai+2. Built in Sunderland and everywhere on UK roads.
  • J11 (2013–2021) — the biggest seller. N-Connecta and Tekna trims on 18" and 19" alloys.
  • J12 (2021 on) — current, including the e-Power.

Britain's used family car

The Qashqai has been one of the best-selling cars in the country for fifteen years, which means an enormous number of them are now on their second, third or fourth owner. Every handover is another chance for the small plastic case holding the key to not make it across.

Worth checking before you spend anything: the boot floor beside the jack, the side cubby in the boot trim, and the glovebox. On a Qashqai that's had a space-saver or a repair kit swapped in, the whole tool tray sometimes went with it.

Nissan and Renault share patterns

Nissan and Renault run an alliance and share components across several models, so locking patterns overlap between the two ranges. A key that fits a Renault of the same era may look right for your Qashqai in a photograph and still be a fraction out.

That fraction is the whole game. A near-miss key seats, feels like it's gripping, and rounds the nut the moment you lean on the bar — turning a cheap fix into a £40–£60 removal job.

How the matching works

  1. Photograph the locking nut — cap off, wiped clean, straight on, daylight, no flash.
  2. Send it with your year and trim. We confirm the exact key before you pay.
  3. Free UK delivery, Royal Mail Tracked 24, out within one working day.

Cost

Identification is free. The Nissan matching service is £22.50 with free UK delivery — against £40–£60 to have a single nut removed at a garage, or £55–£85 for all four.

Our keys are cut from hardened steel to the original pattern, not soft cast copies — how our keys are made.
